i own Freeform LOUD SPEAKERs on Worm Interface what is the Alt. Frequencies comp like in comparison to this artist? Would any of you say the artists included in the comp are sorta like what LOUD SPEAKERS sounds like (god that's a terribly written question) Let's put this way, is Alt.Frequencies drum n bass or something better? I am getting tired of a lot of dn'b. that's not to say it sucks, so flamers put down the torch , it doen't, dnb has a loooong way to go. Who could give me a god review of this comp or tell me where to find a review of it??? gil

Hello folks.. I'm still looking for the first installment of the Worm Interface comps. I've got two and three, and was hoping someone could tell me what to expect on number one. If anyone is willing to part with their copy, or has more details, please get in touch. Thanks.. VOLUME TRANSMISSION Worm Interface Soundtrack Series WI020 (cd) Worm Interface release the first in 'the soundtrack series'. The House of Worm once again field an international team including Swedish synth duo PLOD, AIRAT from Russia, the anonymous REMOTE, UK software mole ASTRAL ENGINEERING, KOICHI from Japan, and SANDSPIDER - straight outta Beckenham. A unique selection of minimalism, lush soundscapes, dreamy ambience and downtempo electro make up this collection of reflective music. PLOD will soon release their long-awaited debut album - 'Pillow Talk' (WI021), KOICHI is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on his first album (which you may have heard a taster of if you were lucky enough to get a copy of the 'Live Gorgeous Energy' LP -WISE03- ). ASTRAL ENGINEERING's 'Chronoglide' (WI001) has become known as a chillout classic and was Worm Interface's first ever release. The AIRAT tracks are another example of the emergent Russian new wave of electronic and were selected from a unique set of field recordings made among the many tenements of Moscow. The REMOTE project is by somebody in the film industry who wishes to remain anonymous. SANDSPIDER are a recent Worm Interface signing who are finishing their first album for us which will be released early next year. ___________________________________________ p i e t r o d a s a c c o a u d i o - n i m b u s 9745 lynngrove cr, windsor, ontario, n8r 1b8, canada http://www.rain.org/~audio/grooves/ grooves experimental electronics music mag

WOW! Nice playlist, Dave!!! I'm about to tune in right now - count me as among those who "...want to hear Philip Glass, Wu-Tang Clan, Nobukazu Takemura (et al) in the same radio program". Having seen that playlist, I have a couple of comments: -what's Nobakazu's "Scope" like? Is it like melodic Oval (a description I'd heard)? Does it have as much of the childlike melody stuff as "Child's View"? -To Rococo Rot - Cars: how is it, and what's it like? -Sam Prekop - Showrooms: ditto -Aaliyah - Are You That Somebody?: PROPS DUE!!! That's the JAM. -Emerson, Lake, and Palmer - Lucky Man: ditto, in a totally different way :) Anyway, serious respect - keep it eclectic. Hi ! Just listened to several worm interface records and I'm quite impressed. Both Gimmik EPs are great: very energetic, melodic and catchy. The best records in the '80s computer games nostalgia'-style I've ever heard! :) The forthcoming Plod full-length is another gem, very warm, beautiful and calm. Their music has really got a feeling in it. Very, very nice. A good cure after the DSP / granular synthesis overdose :) Nick --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
